We started our journey from the beautiful cove of Orhaniye, an affluent haven for yacht owners. Known for its spectacular beaches, Pine forests and bountiful nature excellent for fishing and hiking. It took us 8 hours from Orhaniye to the touristic port of Marmaris where we stayed for 5 days on anchor. From Marmaris to the next anchorage took us 4 hours. We arrived just before sunset in a bay west of Catal Adalari island and from this place we left the next day at 7:00 in the morning to manage in good time an 11 hours of cruising. On the way, there were breathtaking views of hills with clusters of white houses that seem to have been abandoned in time. We arrived at our third anchorage in the beautiful and secluded place of Astypalaia. It is a complete contrast from the hustle and bustle of Marmaris. This is the prefect place to hide away in complete isolation and solace. The crystal clear waters in the bay looked inviting for a dip to refresh aching bones from the long trip.
